pocket folder conversion
Our pocket folders are finished on our state-of-the-art Kluge folder gluer. This machine is capable of running many different style pocket folders as well as cd sleeves, envelope forms, and light cartons at high speeds. Helpful folder-gluer hints:
All glue tabs and opposing glue areas must be free of any inks or coatings for proper adhesion.
If sending pre-die cut and scored portfolios to be finished, it is critical that the scores are deep and well formed (generally with scoring matrix) to provide our folder-gluer with the needed strength and consistency. If in doubt, send over a sample at setup for us to evaluate before running your lot.
Some coated stocks and high coverage sheets should be tested before final assembly. Our experience has shown that some stocks will show different amounts of "bleed through" from our water based adhesives that may be objectionable to the end user. If paper, ink, glue combination is found to a problem, hand assembly can be arranged at additional cost.
